Suzan’s Chocolate Banana Cake

This banana cake recipe is the most delicious and moist ever! I named it after my neighbor who was kind enough to share this goodness with me.

Ingredients

1 3/4 cups all purpose flour

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1/4 cup milk

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup sugar

2 eggs

3 bananas mashed

1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips

1 tsp baking Soda

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp salt

Steps

  1. turn oven to 350 degrees F ( if using light colored pan or Pyrex reduce heat to 325)

  2. spray a 9x10 inch pan with non sick 0 calorie spray

  3. In a bowl mix sugar and oil together on low speed , add bananas and mix till well combined

  4. mix one egg at a time, then add vanilla

  5. sift half of the flour in the same bowl, add half of the milk then Mix

  6. Sift the other half of flour along with baking powder, baking soda, and salt

  7. mix on medium speed for 1 minute

  8. gently add chocolate chips if desired and use a spatula to mix

  9. pour into tray and bake for 25 minutes or until toothpick is inserted and comes out clean (dry crumbs are fine)!
