Carotenoid Chia Smoothie

Carotenoids are organic compounds that are known for their powerful antioxidant capabilities that play a role in our health. They are fruits and vegetables within the yellow and orange hues. This smoothie stars 4 foods that will sure Crank up your levels of them for the day! With a boost of collagen protein powder and chia seeds, this recipe is a full meal!

Ingredients

1 cup papaya

1 cup mango ( I used frozen and thawed it in the microwave)

1 cup carrots

1 ripe banana

2 tbsp maple syrup

2 1/2 cup cold water

2 scoops vital protein powder

2 Tbsp chia seeds

Steps

  1. Blend all ingredients in a blender (except chia seeds) . I used my VitaMix Blended as it’s powerful enough to turn the blend into a very smooth consistency.

  2. add 1 tbsp of chia seeds to each cup
