Saffron Rice

This rice recipe is an absolute show stopper! The aroma of the saffron and the golden color of the rice will sure make it memorable for anyone who tries it!

Ingredients

1 cup long grain rice (basmati)

1 tsp saffron soaked in 1 tbsp warm water

1 tsp salt

2 tsp vegetable oil

steps

  1. wash and drain the rice multiple times till water runs clear

  2. in a medium sauce pan add 2 cups of water, bring to a boil

  3. add salt and oil when it boils, mix then add rice

  4. when rice boils, lower heat to medium low and let it cook till water is almost evaporated, then add saffron along with its water

  5. Reduce heat to low and cook covered till water is fully evaporated and rice is softened

  6. Remove from heat, let it sit for 5 minutes then fluff gently with a fork
