Whole wheat Dough

Simple steps can have a huge impact on your diet. Using whole wheat flour in baking instead of bleached white flour can increase your fiber intake. This recipe yields a fluffy and soft dough that can be used in many ways. Finish it with your favorite toppings.

to make the dough:

Ingredients:

3 cups whole wheat flour 

3/4 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon sugar

1 cup of warm water 

2 1/2 teaspoons of yeast 

1 teaspoon of sugar

1/3 cup of vegetable oil

1/2 cup non fat yogurt

Steps:

  1. Mix dry ingredients: whole wheat flour, salt, and sugar

  2.  In a separate bowl Mix: water, yeast, sugar, Cover and let it ferment for a few minutes. Then transfer into dry ingredients bowl. 

  3. Add vegetable oil, and yogurt

  4. Mix with electric mixer for about five minutes on low speed, or by hand 

  5. Add a little bit of flour as needed, dough should be slightly sticky

  6. Brush with olive oil let it sit for 45 minutes to rise 

  7. Once ready, punch the dough in the middle, and knead for about 10 times and then use
